AU International Peace and Conflict Resolution Division
The Foundation has supported the International Peace and Conflict Resolution Division of the School of International Service at American University (“IPCR”). IPCR is concerned in its broadest purpose with understanding the causes of war and organized violence, developing strategies for resolving conflict, and constructing conditions for peace. In that context, students and faculty engage in a variety of activities, including action research and direct practice in conflict resolution. The Foundation supported IPCR, in partnership with other academic and non-governmental organizations, to conduct a program focused on analysis, dialogue, and reconciliation with the goal of lasting peace in the country of Sudan.
