About This Grant
Through IR USA's Orphan Sponsorship Program, grant funds will support 708 orphans in the following countries: Mali, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Jordan, South Africa, Bosnia, and Lebanon.
Islamic Relief USA provides relief and development in a dignified manner regardless of gender, race, or religion, and works to empower individuals in their communities and give them a voice in the world.
IR USA’s Orphan Sponsorship Program is designed to help orphans and keep their families together. Most of the orphans have mothers who are still alive, but are forced to give up their children to orphanages because they are unable to receive the financial assistance they need. This program gives them financial assistance directly, so they can make the best decisions for the wellbeing of their children. Where the mother is not alive, then the orphan is with a designated guardian.
