Fuad El-Hibri provides leadership to the Board of Trustees and the management team in shaping and achieving the Foundation’s mission. He recognizes that strategic philanthropy is the best way to address the complex issues at the heart of the Foundation’s work, and utilizes his business acumen to focus on solutions. Mr. El-Hibri also chairs the Board of Directors of Emergent BioSolutions, Inc., a global biopharmaceutical company, where he formerly served as Chief Executive Officer. He has experience in the telecommunications industry, serving as Chair of Digitel C.A. and president of Digicel de C.V. Mr. El-Hibri is also Founder and Chairman of East West Resources Corporation, a venture capital and financial consulting firm. He sits on the Board of Trustees of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the International Biomedical Research Alliance, an academic joint venture of the National Institutes of Health, Oxford University and Cambridge University. He also sits on the Yale Healthcare Conference Advisory Committee. Mr. El-Hibri holds a Master’s degree in Public and Private Management from Yale University and a B.A. in Economics from Stanford University.
