Abdo Sabban
Abdo Sabban contributes to the Foundation the skills and knowledge he developed from his extensive experience as a community activist and successful entrepreneur at a real estate brokerage, management and investment firm. Business Week named Mr. Sabban one of the country’s most successful immigrant entrepreneurs. Mr. Sabban serves as Chair of the Board of the Rene Moawad Foundation, which promotes the social, economic and rural development of Lebanon and helps build a responsible civil society to strengthen Lebanese national unity, democratic values and social justice. He is also on the Board of The American Lebanese Foundation. He previously served on the Boards of Save Lebanon, Inc.; Karamah: Muslim Women Lawyers for Human Rights; and the American University of Beirut Alumni Association of North America, where he was President of the Washington Alumni Chapter and was honored with the Distinguished Service Award. In 2004, he sold the brokerage portion of his company but retains the property management business. He holds a degree in economics from the American University in Beirut.
