About This Grant
To support the Washington Center's Internship Initiative for American Muslim college students.
This grant will support the American Muslim Scholars Program run by The Washington Center for Internships and Academic Seminars (TWC). Funds will focus on building the capacity and pipeline of American Muslim youth to serve and lead in the nonprofit and public sectors. EHF support will enable American Muslim students to spend a semester in Washington, DC participating in professional internships, evening academic courses, leadership and professional development workshops, career-specific trainings, civic engagement workshops, and volunteer work.
TWC’s mission is to provide a bridge between higher education and professional careers – leveraging all of what Washington, DC has to offer to provide dynamic, experiential learning opportunities to empower and motivate young people to become engaged global citizens and lead in their careers and communities. Through their internship sites, classes, and professional workshops, TWC helps more than 50,000 students from around the world gain valuable experience, and sets them on a course of achievement, leadership, and engagement in their communities.
