Congratulations to the 2017 El-Hibri Scholarship Winners

Congratulations to the 2017 recipients of the El-Hibri Scholarships for Advancing Inclusion!

The El-Hibri Foundation is pleased to award scholarships to three exemplary students significantly focused on advancing inclusion of American Muslim communities. Congratulations to:

  • Nourjannah Hendi is a sophomore at Georgetown University, majoring in Justice and Peace Studies. She is passionate about interfaith relationship-building and collaboration and plans to pursue a career in the nonprofit sector.

  • Tasmiha Khan is a graduate student at Claremont Lincoln University studying Social Impact. She hopes to focus her career on youth mentorship and wellness in American Muslim communities. She also aims to pursue interfaith community building efforts to build better opportunities for collaboration across difference.

  • Zahra Murtaza is a graduate student at Georgia State University studying Clinical and Community Psychology. She plans to provide low-cost mental health services to refugee, immigrant, and Muslim communities, and to help mosques across the United States provide accessible mental health services.
