Acquiring skills for personal leadership development
Community organizing recognizes that true leaders empower not just themselves but their entire community. This training helps nonprofit leaders learn how to serve their communities by building relationships and helping others claim their voices, resulting in interdependent social movements that represent the interests and power of a collective. Community organizing builds the capacity of American Muslim leadership networks to civically engage, collaborate, and become drivers of social change.
The Empathetic Bridge
Building on Public Narrative, the framework of the Empathetic Bridge allows us to see how to respond to loss as leaders in a way that encourages the agency of our constituencies. The heuristic of the Empathetic Bridge utilized elements of the story of self to enable others to act, and provide a strategic way forward in moments of disruptive change.
