EHF Grant Support: Support food distribution on the South Side of Chicago
Grant funds were used to distribute food packages to low-income residents from the Chicago Lawn and Englewood neighborhoods on the South Side of Chicago, which has been designated as a Shortage Area and Food Desert.
The Inner-City Muslim Action Network (IMAN) is a community organization that fosters health, wellness, and healing in the inner-city by organizing for social change, cultivating the arts, and operating a holistic health center. A federally qualified health center (FQHC), IMAN offers comprehensive health service integrating arts and creative expression, housing and workforce training for returning citizens and court- involved youth, and grassroots organizing around multiple social issues—including food access, food insecurity, and food justice.
